Third is the URL. If the keywords the searcher entered existed in the URL, maybe your link will be his first choice. For example, if I'm searching for "San Carlos Hotel", I will go first the link with URLs like www.sancarlos.com or www.sancarloshotel.com.

Though you don't know what kind of keywords searchers entered and what kind of information searchers are looking for, you shall prepare the best title, keywords and description for your website. You need to make sure that when searchers input your keywords and looking for your products or service, your link are their principal choice.

Hit the link yourself

In the case your search engine optimized website already indexed into search engines, and you can't do too much on the keywords, description and URLs, then there is another easy and effective, but slow way to increase your click popularity: yourself and ask all your friends to hit your link regularly.

But don't keep click your link all the time, because search engines can remember your IP address via cookies. Some articles said that frequent click from the same IP address will cause your page banned by the engines, but it's not correct (if that's true, just keep hitting your competitors' link). Search engines will just not numerate those clicks from the same IP address.

So just click your link at a regular time, such as 2-3 days per visit, and ask all your friends to do that also. For an old site which already gets 100 clicks per day, maybe this doesn't give your too much.
